Connecting Cobb Veterans Database

Impact Summary: Assist the Commissioner and her community in establishing a reusable dataset and database that can be accessed through Open APIs and connect to case management systems and other digital kiosks throughout the County and State to help increase access to resources for over 20,000 veterans.
Requirements include: cybersecure, Admin portal role restricted, SQL database design for open API, Non profit service providers, Federal and state programs and resource data sets, Corresponding private benefits.

Patient Advocacy App

Impact Summary: Assist the Commissioner and her community in establishing an community-facing application that provides individual access to healthcare liaisons facilitating an improved health care service rating. Many communities face unique barriers when receiving healthcare and this app will allow those individuals to contact a liaison to serve as a translator and advocate for during care.
Delivery Requirements include: Secure application (HIPAA compliance/ PII Data Protection), Admin portal role restricted, Cobb-Douglas Public Health Department, KSU, non profit healthcare administrators, Intuitive UX/CX design, multi-lingual, free access

Elections Research

Impact Summary: Assist the Commissioner in a research project to help understand why voting trends and access differ across geographical areas and identify some clear recommendations to improve such access.
Delivery Requirements include: Research Report & Presentation, Recommended Programs and Investments, Statistical Analysis, Grading System overlay on a GIS map. Local Disaster Grant

Impact Summary: Assist the Commissioner in the development of policy to be implemented across the Country and State that permits local jurisdictions to administer funds to future-proof private property against Climate impact.

Augmented Reality Experiences

Impact Summary: Assist the Commissioner and the community in transforming historic buildings, parks, and locations into experiences by creating unique augmented reality applications which will facilitate educational tourism for the County and enhance residential quality of life.

Environmental Conservation & Transparency Accord

Impact Summary: Assist the Commissioner and the Community in the creation and passage of a community crowd-sourced list of implementable sustainability goals to create a layer of transparency around water, soil, and air to improve the quality of life of those that live, work, and play in Cobb.
Delivery Requirements include: Policy recommendation and presentation, research, community workshopping, and dashboard creation

Renter's Bill of Rights

Impact Summary: Assist the Commissioner and the Community in designing a policy that can be adopted by the State to provide some living standard protections for renters and avenues of recourse for real damages.

Water Quality Technologies

Impact Summary: Assist the Commissioner in helping to design a grant and event to develop new technologies for water quality monitoring that can be linked to other data feeds and  output sources to help with transparency and emergency preparation.
Delivery Requirements include: Grant proposal and Event for crowd-sourcing technology development, real-time water quality monitoring device prototype or schematic
